MONTHLY MEETINGS

CCGS monthly meetings are held at the Chippewa Area History Center (12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls, WI) on the fourth Saturday of January, February, March, April, May, September, October, and November, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  A short business meeting is followed by a presentation related to family history and local history.  The meetings are open to the public.

The fourth Monday in August is our Annual Potluck Picnic Meeting, held from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Bring a dish to share; coffee, water, plates, and utensils are provided by CCGS.  A short business meeting is followed by a presentation related to family history and local history.

Research assistance is available prior to and after monthly meetings. 

January 25, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, January 25 at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a presentation by Martin Treptow, who will speak about the Treptow family.

February 22, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, February 22, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a presentation by John Fassbender, CCGS member and WSGS Exec Committee District Rep, who will give his insights on the Family Tree Maker software.

March 22, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, March 22, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a presentation about How to Use the CCGS Library resources.

April 26, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, April 26, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a presentation by Darius Husain and Deacon Devine on their book The Nine Devines of Chippewa Falls.  The meeting is open to the public.

May 24, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, May 24, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a game of Chippewa Falls Trivia: a fun local history trivia game.  The meeting is open to the public.

June 2025:  There is not a monthly meeting scheduled for June but the library is open for research on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12 noon to 4:00 pm unless the Chippewa Area History Center is closed for holidays or inclement weather.     

July 2025:  There is not a monthly meeting scheduled for July but the library is open for research on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12 noon to 4:00 pm unless the Chippewa Area History Center is closed for holidays or inclement weather.    

August 25, 2025: Join the Chippewa County Genealogical Society for our Annual Potluck Picnic Meeting at 6:00 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm) on Monday, August 25, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  Bring a dish to share; coffee, water, plates and utensils are provided by CCGS. A short business meeting is followed with a presentation by Jarrod Showalter, Director of the Chippewa Area History Center.  The meeting is open to the public.

September 27, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, September 27, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a presentation by Stephanie Staber, who will share the CCGS Facebook Tips and Jokes that she regularly posts.  The meeting is open to the public.

October 25, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, October 25, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed with a presentation by Rebecca Blanchette about FOREVER.COM, a permanent cloud program that is popular among genealogists..  The meeting is open to the public.

November 22, 2025:  The Chippewa County Genealogical Society will meet at 10:00 am (doors open at 9:30 am) on Saturday, November 22, at the Chippewa Area History Center, 12 Bridgewater Avenue, Chippewa Falls.  There will be a short business meeting followed by a presentation by (to be announced).  The meeting is open to the public.

December 2025:  There is not a monthly meeting in December but the library is open for research on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12 noon to 4:00 pm unless the Chippewa Area History Center is closed for holidays or inclement weather.
