PUBLICATIONS

The Chippewa County Genealogical Society has limited publications available for either purchase or distributed to members:

  • The Chippewa County Cemetery Index, published in 1998, contains 50,000 names transcribed from all of the tombstones in Chippewa County. It lists the location of the cemeteries, old and current names used by the cemeteries, and tells the history of all the cemeteries. The price of the Index is currently $20.00 plus the cost of postage and handling which is approximately $7.50. Please email ccgswi@gmail.com asking specific mailing charges for a particular community in the U.S.A.

These are now sold out - We do have a copy for research.

  • The Newsletter is published by the Society four times a year and distributed to all members and exchange partners. Notices of area workshops, state seminars, and national conferences are listed. The progress of on-going projects, new books purchased or gifted to the Society, computer updates, queries from out-of-state researchers and current articles of interest are printed to keep members up-to-date.
